Bengaluru: Government college lecturer caught for teaching in private institute!

Bengaluru, Jun 23: There are instances of teachers accused of doing other jobs on the side other than teaching!

But here is a case of a college lecturer caught for teaching – in a private college!

A government college lecturer in Nanjangud in Mysuru district has been caught red-handed for teaching in a private college, also in the same locality.

Department of Collegiate Education in Bengaluru is inquiring into complaints that the lecturer of a Government First Grade College in Nanjangud in Mysuru has been teaching Mathematics in a private institution, Unity College, also in Nanjangud.

It is reported that the lecturer’s double role of teaching in the Government First Grade College and private Unity College was exposed by the students, who caught him red-handed while teaching in the private college.

The students of the Government First Grade College in Nanjangud had reportedly lodged a complaint with the authorities concerned regarding the lecturer’s dual teaching role a month ago.

Officials in the Department of Collegiate Education in Bengaluru have promised to investigate and take suitable action against the erring lecturer.

    There are certain rules and regulations in Govt. posts like Doctors, Lecturers etc. The Govt. Doctors should not open a clinic likewise lecturers also not supposed to do private teaching. But why this lecturer has made scapegoag when so many lecturers teach in Private Instituitions. Catch them also and do the justice in your action. Catch everyone whu indulge in such kind of private teaching.

    I SURPRISE IN SOMEBODY COMMENTS SUPPORTING THE ACCUSED LECTURER.GOVERNMENT PAYS SALARY TO A PERSON TO WORK IN PARTICULAR SERVICE AND HE SHOULD OBEY AND WORK.INSTEAD OF THAT SUPPOSE HE GOES TO WORK TO OTHER PLACE ,HOW HE CAN WORK SINCERELY?GOV.COLLEGE LECTURERS GET HUGE SALARY.SO FIRST THIS LECTURER SHOULD BE DISMISSED.

    Teaching is a noble profession one can practice. Unless he has vested interests which are likely to harm his students, he is doing a great job. The students should think of learning as their main goal, not engaging in something which demoralises their teachers. Such a hopeless news being published, shame on our part to read it even!!

    @ahmed ,Mangalore,why should a student not complain when student is not benefitting from his teacher where he has to teach and do it elsewhere?All is well as you say teaching is a noble job ,but he should do his duty where he has to be first .Probably he was not attending it ,instead elsewhere.double pay.How many of govt.employees do their duty lawfully?

    What is new in that. In Kudla some of the private aided college teachers have been teaching for the last 25 to 30 years regularly in coaching cum PU classes. They share because they care.

    He may get very good emoluments but may have lot of responsibilities. he is working hard for living whats wrong in it ? There are lot of jobless morons creating issues in government is any one questioning them ?
