Udupi, June 21: A youth who was reported missing here from months finally returned home on Tuesday, June 20. He presented himself with his father at Udupi town police station and withdrew the missing person complaint registered there.

Mangaluru resident Akshay Shet was reportedly missing from his relative’s house at Udupi since April 25. He had said in his last phonecall that he was in Malpe. But police, investigating his mobile phone location found that he was in Sasthan. Police continued looking for him and detected after a few weeks his phone location which was near Punjab. As no other location was traced, the police had sent information to Punjab police.

He had sent a message on Whatsapp in June to his relatives and family members that he will return soon. He had also told that he had left the house to come out from mental tension.

Akshay, visited his house in Mangaluru and went to Udupi police station accompanied by his father on June 20. It is said that he informed the police that he has come out of mental depression after spending a few days at Vaishnavi temple at Jammu Kashmir and an ashram at Punjab on his own accord.

Thank God he is fine and reuturne d safe.Got rid of his tension but he made tension to his family who were very much worried, thats natural. He could have atleast informed home people about his intention .without any comment simply going out of house is very dangerous.Nowadays so many criminal things are happening ,and for so many days,he was missing. Now hope he will atleast learnt not to give stress to parents in future, and disappear in dark.
