Udupi: Kaup Youth Cong distributes books to children on Rahul Gandhi's birthday

Udupi, Jun 20: Youth Congress committee of Kaup Vidhana Sabha constituency celebrated the birthday of congress vice president Rahul Gandhi at Mutlapadi Hindu Higher Primary school on Monday, June 19.

Kaup Youth Congress president Melwin D'Souza distributed books to school children and called on students to be excellent citizens after they received quality education.

Sweets were distributed to children, celebrating the birthday of Rahul Gandhi.



Udupi district Youth Congress president Vishwas Ameen speaking on the occasion said that Youth Congress had taken up several pro-society programmes on the eve of celebrations. Udupi district Congress vice president Ignatius D'Souza hoped that the school would continue to receive such help from youth congress.

Shirva rural Youth Congress president Arun Poojary, Shirva rural congress president Sudhir Shetty, Kaup Youth Congress vice president Santhosh Bangera, Youth Congress chief secretary Mohammed Hamraz, and Tanuj Karkera were present.

Youth congress members Shyenith Britto, Santhosh Fernandes, Asfaq, Ahmed and Jahid Hassan participated in the programme. Shirva rural congress spokesperson Sunil Cabral compered the programme. School headmistress Sulochana commended the work of youth congress and the proposed vote of thanks.
