Mumbai, Jun 20: Billavara Association held their 85th annual meeting at Narayanaguru auditorium, Billavara Bhavan, Santacruz east, on Sunday morning June 18. Association president Nithyananda D Kotian presided over the meeting.

Honorary chief secretary Dharmapal G Anchan welcomed the gathering and presented the report of the previous year's annual meeting. He also introduced the felicitated. Honorary joint secretary Ashalatha S Kotian tabled the report of the special meeting held in January this year. Honorary chief treasurer Mahesh Karkal tabled the annual report of the working committee and accounts. Former president of the association and BJP leader L V Ameen and Santhosh Kotian were selected as specially invited members.

Billava Jagruthi Balaga Mumbai president and Billava Chamber of Commerce and Industries president N T Poojary, Harischandra Ameen, Srinivasa Poojary, Devi Laxman Mukunde, H V Suvarna, K Shanker Suvarna Khar, G M Kotian, L V Ameen, Chandrashekar S Poojary, M B Sanil, Varada Ullal, Jayakara D Poojary and Santhosh Kotian spoke on behalf of the audience and gave their suggestions.

Vidhita Poojary sang a prayer song. A silent prayer and homage was held for the departed well wishers and elite in the society. Joint secretary Harish G Salian proposed the Vote of thanks. The meeting concluded after the National Anthem.
