Bengaluru: Public opinion is in favour of Congress as per survey- Siddaramaiah

Bengaluru, Jun 10: “Public opinion is in favour of Congress as per a survey,” chief minister Siddaramaiah told his party legislators at the Congress legislature party meeting held on Friday, June 9.

The chief minister chaired the meeting held at the Vidhana Soudha which Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee president Dr G Parameshwara also attended.

“A survey being conducted by the party to assess the popularity of the government has revealed that people are happy with the government’s performance. The survey has been completed in 50 assembly constituencies so far,” he added.

“The party will come up with a separate strategy for the constituencies where the opinion is not so favourable,” he informed the legislators.

Farm loan

The chief minister also told the party legislators not to worry about the BJP politicising the farm loan waiver issue. “BJP does not have moral right to demand the loan waiver. The BJP-led NDA government at the Centre should first act in this regard. The farmers have availed more loans from nationalised banks than the co-operative banks,” he opined.

Cattle issue

On the Centre’s controversial decision to ban sale of cattle for slaughter, Siddaramaiah told the legislators that it is a sensitive issue. “The state government has decided not to make any hasty move in this regard. Moreover, the Centre’s ban has been already challenged in the Supreme Court,” Siddaramaiah said.

During the meeting, Siddaramaiah gave some tips to the legislators for improving their image in the coming days. He asked them to go back to the constituencies soon after the session, review implementation of the government schemes and listen to people’s grievances.

People of our State are an enlightened lot and want peace, harmony, Goodwill to prevail in society coupled with good governance. Whipping up communal passions and mixing religion in politics for narrow gains should be prevented at all costs irrespective of the party. An administration which responds to the poor and marginalized sections should prevail.

Siddu will come back to power, if rahul doesnt interfer.
But BJP getting defeated eleswhere is not going to happen. BJP has already won elsewhere.
In fact punjab and karnatka may be the only places congress may have presence.
The only condition is Rahul should stay away. If he interfers too much, then its the end of congress in karnataka.

Congress will lose its last strong hold of karnataka as well this time. Coastal regions will decisively vote in favour of BJP. This government has indulged too much into appeasement politics and will pay the price.

I am not a andh bakth of any party, but let BJP bakths let people know why they should vote them.
    1) Fuel prices are same as UPS GOVT despite they are down to 30% of UPAS tenure globally.
    2) 2 crore jobs were not created for youths as promised
    3) no acche din for farmers as they are struggling to survive and yet to get support price with 50% profit as promised.
    4) sub ka saath , sab ka vikas was nothing but a jumla.
    5) Promised acche din everybody , but only a few are enjoying it.
    6) To cover up their failures and to keep people busy they are making them to fight each other with issues like beef.
