Mangaluru, Jun 8: Dakshina Kannada district unit of National Student's Union of India held its elections on Tuesday, June 6.
Abdulla Bin Ameen of SDM Law College with 343 votes was elected the president and Showad Goonadkar who secured 185 votes was declared the vice-president. Abdul Rahiman, Sanketh Shetty and Mohammed Sawad will be general secretaries.
Ashton Sequeira was elected the first secretary with 334 votes. Swasthik Suvarna and Mohammed Shaz who bagged 118 and 68 votes respectively will also be secretaries.
Rammesk was the incharge of the elections. The elections were held at DCC office. The victorious candidates celebrated their victory at Congress Bhavan, Mallikatte.
