Puttur: Cellphone of woman official stolen - recorded on CCTV camera

Puttur, May 30: A cellphone belonging to a woman official working inside the mini Vidhan Soudha building here had gone missing about a week back. It has transpired that the theft was captured by the CCTV cameras installed inside the office.

As is her normal practice, the woman official of the taluk office had left for lunch in the afternoon after closing the doors of the office. The CCTV footage shows a stranger entering the office, putting his hand into the drawer of the particular woman official, and taking away a cellphone, it is gathered.

The police of the town station have been given this information. The police, who have verified contents of CCTV, are trying to nab the culprit based on this information.
