A very sad and unfortunate incident which took the lives of 8 people including the drivers of VRL bus, the tempo, and the bride. May their souls RIP and wish a speedy recovery of those injured in this deadly accident. Off late there has been many road accidents due to the widening of roads. There are no proper signs to guide the drivers.

Impose speed limit of 60km during night 10pm to 5am. Usually Volvo buses travel around 100km/hr. No chances of survival for small vehicles involved in accident

Bus started from Mangalore around 9.30pm on yesterday 24th May. My aunt, her children and grand children (total 6 members) was travelling in VRL bus sleeper coach. Accident happened around 1am. We got a call from my aunt around 1.30am saying that my cousin got injured in her hand. Police and doctors arrived within half an hour. They were sitting on the road in dark till 6.30 am. All 6 are safe. Alternate bus has come from Hubli around 6.30am. They have not reached Belgaum till now. Seven innocent lost their lives. So Sad. May their Soul rest in peace.

Disgusting to note that such a big public listed co could not arrange some locally available transport to haul the survived passengers rather than make them wait on the roads for 5 hours! This is least expected from a large professionally run, public listed, logistics co, which shows their callous attitude towards innocent passengers!

Mam speak with the passengers and sue the bus company and the local administration in the court of law for inept handling of the situation. Unless such steps are taken, nothing will change. One side we have srory of unruly train passengers (Tejas). Other side, we have careless administration and thick skinned lethargic private establishment. Seems to be made for each other. Unfortunately there are innocent disciplined citizen also who are real sufferers.
