Producer Prasad, actor Sharwanand thrilled with 'Radha' success

Chennai, May 20 (IANS): Actor Sharwanand and producer BVSN Prasad are thrilled that their latest Telugu outing "Radha" has emerged successful, despite the "Baahubali 2: The Conclusion" onslaught at the box office.

"Radha" hit the screens last week.

"We are thrilled with the memorable success of the film. As 'Baahubali' continues at the box office, our film still managed to draw audiences and that's our biggest success. It has unanimously earned positive response so far," Prasad told IANS.

The film features Sharwanand as a police officer. He is also an ardent Krishna devotee.

"It is wonderful to see family audience coming to theatres to watch my film for the family brand which my movies have. Though 'Radha' was called a regular entertainer, it will remain to be a different film in my career. I thank my director Chandramohan for giving me such a good film," he said.

The film, which has reportedly grossed over Rs. 7 crore so far, also stars Lavanya Tripathi and Saptagiri.
