Moodbidri: Alva's Institute to hold 'Motorig' on May 21

Moodbidri, May 19: Alva’s Institute of Engineering Technology, Moodbidri will host Alva’s Motorig, its annual event displaying various automobiles in segments, at its  Shobhavana Campus, Mijar, Moodbidri on Sunday, May 21 at 10:45 am. Details of the event were announced at a press meet at Mangalore Press Club, on Friday, May 19.

This will be the 4th edition of the event.

Motorig is being jointly organised by Alva’s Education Foundation, TASC, IMSC, Bedra Adventurous Club, Coastal Riders, KL14 and team Bedra United.

Alva’s Motorig will have on display superbikes, supercars luxury cars, vintage collections and customised vehicles, and a gist of motorsport drag and drift demos and customised sequential stunt performances by national drivers and riders. The event also comprises of display of vehicle stunts performed by experts on motorbikes. There are over 200 top-end cars and two-wheelers, both vintage and new releases, which includes a variety of cars and motorbikes.

This year Motorig will be inaugurated by Kishore Alva, executive director, Adani UPCL, alongside other delegates - Ashwin Naik, Indian rally champion, Ganesh Rao, chairman of Karavali Group of Institutions, Kuldeep M of Chowtara Aramane Moodbidri, Abulal Puthige, proprietor of Vishwas Bava Builders Moodbidri,  Sanjay Rao, director of Mandovi Motors Pvt Ltd, Mangaluru.

Benefits to participants

The event creates an enormous learning environment for all students in and around Dakshina Kannada. The event has influenced students in several ways and has provided a platform to gain knowledge about the engine, chassis, outer body, functioning, manufacturing and the like.
It has also given opportunity for the students and audience to know about the working of latest and futuristic automobiles.

The general public would benefit from the opportunity to witness the luxury and vintage class vehicles on one platform.

Key Highlights this Motorig

In this year’s Motorig aims for the advancement of the displays and activities in the event like Expo of over 200 top-end cars and two-wheelers, both vintage and new releases.

Gaurav Khatri, national level freestyle motorsport rider from Jaipur Team Cyclone would be performing sequential stunts.

Arjun rao, Indian rally champion from Mangaluru, and Rahul Kanthraj, Indian rally champion, would be performing rally sequence and stunts.

Adnan and Sudeep Kotari, Indian motor rally supercross champions would be performing supercross sequence and stunts.

Hot Pistons group from Udupi would be performing freestyle stunts on two wheels.

There would be an Auto-ramp by various exotic and premium vehicles from in and around Mangaluru.

The organisers look forward to a keen participation from all the vehicle enthusiasts at the event.

Akshay Jain, president of Bedra Adventurous Club, Moodbidri, Muddukrishna, Motorig coordinator from Alva’s Education Foundation, Prasad, lecturer at Alva’s Education Foundation, Gaurav Khatri, and Abulal Puthige, were present at press meet.
