Vijayapura: Seven-year-old drowns in hotel swimming pool

Vijayapura, May 18: A seven-year-old boy lost his life after he drowned in the swimming pool of a private hotel in the city on Wednesday May  17. The victim has been identified as Abhishek Balu Chavan (7) from Hanchinala in the taluk.

Abhishek, who was driven by the ambition of learning to swim had approached the swimming pool of the hotel and had paid the fee as prescribed. When he ventured into the pool, there were no coaches around. Moreover, the hotel staff had failed to provide him with protective swimming gear.

The boy was struggling to save himself after drowning in the pool when the hotel staff brought him out and tried to admit  him into a hospital. However, he breathed his last when being taken to hospital, it is gathered.

Rural police here have registered a case and begun investigation.

    Hotel management and parents should be arrested immediately.what or where were his parents in the first place?How could management or swimming pool took money and left alone without any further guarding?We all know children can do any mischiefs,they should watch a swimming pool when opened to swimm either children or adults.their duty to do so.OTHERWISE THEY SHOULD KEEP IT CLOSED:may his soul rest in peace.

    i think hotel management is very poor becoz 7 year boy coming for swimming without any guardian how they allowed him and if there is no trainee available how they allowed him and no timings for swimmers any time come and enjoy that means it is like local pond all village boys are swimming
