Mangaluru: Congress government has failed to give good governance - Sanjeeva Matandoor

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SB)

Mangaluru, May 17: Launching a scathing attack on the Siddaramaiah-led Congress government in the state, district BJP president Sanjeeva Matandoor said that the state government was useless and had failed to give good governance in its tenure of four years.

Addressing mediapersons at the district BJP office on Wednesday, May 17 Matandoor said, "The state government has declared two taluks in the district as drought-hit. But no measures have been taken to help those taluks. The whole state is facing drought, but our chief minister is watching two films a day and also busy in tours. The ministers are also following the CM and enjoying their lives. They have forgotten the promises mentioned in the election manifesto."

"People will teach a lesson to this government in the next elections. Under the leadership of BJP state president Yeddyurappa, BJP MLAs and office bearers are planning to a visit the drought-hit areas in the state. They will also visit dakshina Kannada," he added.

"The state government has the highest number of ministers from dakshina Kannada, but the district is still lagging behind. The MLAs are busy spreading communalism and goondaism. They are controlled by sand mafia and criminals. The state has witnessed the highest number of communal violence related murders under the Congress government. Ullal constituency has always been in news for communal and criminal activities," said Matandoor.

MP Nalin Kumar's achievements

Matandoor also lauded MP Nalin Kumar Kateel's achivements in the past three years. "The central government completed three years and has been a success under the leadership of Prime Minster Narendra Modi. There has been positive response from public towards the government. Our MP Nalin has proved that he is the numero uno MP in India in utilising central funds for the district. We stand on the teneth place in India in the utilisation of funds," he said.

In the past three years, we have arranged 18 programmes under his leadership, around 50,706 have reaped benefits of  Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana and 3,68,562 people have opened Jan Dhan accounts at various banks. The central government has distributed around Rs 700 crore to various people for self employment. Over 80 proposals came from our district for the Prime Ministers Start-up plan. Therefore, we have organised a training programme for the applicants at Sahyadri College on May 18. Central minister Prakash Javdekar and team will be attending the programme," he concluded.

Vedavyasa Kamath, president, BJP south constituency, Kishore Rai and Sudarshana were present.

Looting natural resources ? lynching fellow Indians ? going to jail on corruption charges ? attacking minority worship places and teen age girls ? Let lose goondas to create panic among people and businessmen ? Stop crying boss, most of the Kannadigas are very happy with present govt., development and peace in the State. Jai Siddu sir !
