Bogey of Mangaluru-Chennai Express jumps track at Marnamikatta

Mangaluru, May 16: A bogey of a train derailed while taking reverse at Marnamikatta here on Tuesday May 16.

Initial reports said that the Chennai-Mangalure Express was being backing from Central station into the railway yard when it jumped off the track near the Marnamikatta railway bridge.

The train was being reversed at a high speed which caused the accident, sources said.

Due to the speed, the bogey derailed and climbed the platform at the end point of the track.
