Ashlyn Pinto secured 100% in Kannada, Mathematics, Science, and Social Science, 99.2% in English, and 99% in Hindi.

Hitha R obtained a 100% score in Hindi, Science, and Social Science, 99.2% in English, 99% in Mathematics, and 98% in Kannada.

All the three students are said to have been very attentive in the class, actively participating in extra-curricular activities of the school.

Sr Rita Matilda Pinto, the headmistress of the school appreciated the hard work and the determination of the students in attaining the highest scores. The staff and parents of the students showed delight and pride in the achievers, congratulate them, and wished them the very best in their future studies.

Speaking to daijiworld.com Ashline Joanne Racheal Pinto said "During my academic year, I was a bit tensed about scoring good grades. I had referred a guide. But during my exam holidays, I stopped referring the guide as I figured, whatever we need to study was already in the textbook.

I was expecting and had hoped, for a score above 620. My mother and grandmother supported me throughout. I had been to Lohitha for tuitions. After my tuitions, I self-studied for an hour or two, concentrating more on concepts I did not understand," she said.

"I was nervous before entering the exam hall and sometimes wondered if I studied enough, but then went on to give my best in the examination.

I would like to take up PCMB further I may take up pharmacy," she added

Nuggets of motivation for other students in this growing atmosphere of uncertainty and academic pressure, "One must understand that failure is the stepping stone to success. There are great people who have achieved excellent things, without scoring good marks. There is no need to  worry when you have your parents support you."

Ashline hails from Maryhill and is the daughter of Nirmala Shaila D'Souza, an accountant by profession, and Anil Pinto, a technician.
