Kolar, May 12: A wrong injection by a fake doctor took away the life of a boy at Bethamangala in Bangarpete taluk here on Thursday, May 11.

Abhiram is the boy deceased. He was a student of tenth standard.

When Abhiram had some pain in his ears, he went to Sharadamurthy Clinic which is owned by Navin Kumar. Though people called Navin Kumar a fake doctor, they would go to him for small ailments. Navin Kumar, after hearing about the ear pain, decided to administer an injection.

When Abhiram showed some unusual and unexpected symptoms after the injection, Navin Kumar asked him to be taken to a Kolar hospital immediately. But before reaching the hospital, Abhiram breathed his last.

Navin Kumar closed his clinic and absconded soon after hearing that Abhiram was no more.

Parents of Abhiram have complained to the police and a case stands registered.
