Match Report for the matches played on May 6 & 7

Jeddah, May 9: In the first match played on May 5, Indomie Dragons won the toss and elected to bat first compiled 150/4 in 10 overs with Farshad top scoring with 73 not out runs laced with 9 sixes and a boundary. Sharfaraz took 1-18 and Hyder 1-23.

Chasing 151 in 10 overs Arcoma Crown could manage only 111/3 in their allotted 10 overs losing the match by 39 runs. Farshad was declared the Man of the Match.

In the second match, Deccan Youth defeated Asia XI by 7 wickets. Asia XI batting first scored 97/7 in their allotted 10 overs, Kashif scored 28 runs. Farhan & Wasi Rabbani took 2 wickets each.

In reply, Deccan Youth achieved the target of 98 runs in 7.1 overs losing 3 wickets with Waseem’s unbeaten knock of 58 runs off 28 balls. Waseem was declared the Man of the Match.

In the third Match, Warriors batting first scored 91/7 in their allotted 10 overs with Mubashir scoring unbeaten 20 runs supported by Zaheer with 19 runs. Shabbir and Abid took 2 wickets each.

In reply, IDB achieved the target in 8.1 overs with Abdullah scoring 27 runs and Waqar remained unbeaten on 19 runs. Quraishi took 2 wickets and Mubashir 1 wicket. Waqar was declared the Man of the Match.

In the fourth match played between Pepsi Alliance and Junaid CC, Junaid CC after winning the toss and elected to bat first scored 85/7 in 10 overs. Shabab remained unbeaten 20 runs and Tauseef scored 19 runs. Rahil Subhani took 3 wickets for 32 runs and Shairoze took 2 wickets for 22 runs.

Chasing 86 in 10 overs, Pepsi Alliance achieved the target of 87 runs in 4.1 overs with Shairoze blasting 46 n.o. runs off just 12 balls with 7 sixes, Ahmed Rizvi remained unbeaten on 18 runs. Gul took the only wicket of Daniyal. Shairoze was awarded the Man of the Match.

In the last match played between Lothers CC and Jeddah Gladiators, Lothers batting first compiled the highest total of Indomie Champions Trophy 2017 and scored 195/1 in their allotted 10 overs. Abdul Wahid blasted unbeaten 135 runs off 37 balls and became the first batsman with highest score of the tournament.

Chasing 195 in 10 overs, Jeddah Gladiators could manage only 86/6 in 10 overs handing 109 runs victory to Lothers CC.Adil was unbeaten of 16 and Salman scored 15. Abdul Wahid and Faisal Makki took 2 wickets each and a wicket for Zahid. Abdul Wahid was awarded the Man of the Match for his scintillating knock of unbeaten 135* runs and 2 wickets. 

Four matches were played on Saturday May 6 at BMT Grounds.

In the first match played on Saturday, FH CC won the toss and elected to bat first scored 115/4 in 10 overs with Rana top scoring with 33 runs, Mudassir Iqbal scored 27. Majid and Walid took a wicket each.

Chasing 116 in 10 overs, Zahid Group achieved the set target by scoring 119/6 in 9.3 overs. Ahmed Mastoi remained unbeaten on 45 runs. Ahmed Mastoi was awarded the Man of the Match. 

 

In the second match, Saudia Gladiators won their third match to top the table in their group. Batting first, Gladiators compiled 151/4 with Qaiser blasting unbeaten 84 off 19 balls with 12 towering sixes well supported by Kashif 32 runs. Mahmood and Abid took 2 wickets each.

Chasing 152, Friday Stallions could manage only 127/9 runs in their allotted 10 overs handing 34 runs victory to Saudia Gladiators. Qaiser was declared the Man of the Match.

 

In the third match, Indomie Dragons batting first scored 125/7 in 10 overs with Rinaws top scoring 30 runs with Maqsood chipping in with 23 runs. Thekemuri took 3 wickets and a wicket for Shafiq.

In reply, Crazy Cric Jeddah could manage only 74/8 in 10 overs handing 51 runs victory to Indomie Dragons. Israr and Rashed took 2 wickets each. Man of the Match was awarded to Rinaws. 

 

In the last match, Crazy Cric Jeddah batting first scored 105/6 in 10 overs, Asif scored 50 and Shafeeq Salim 24. Furqan took 2 wickets. 

Young Star achieved the target of 106 runs in 8.5 overs losing just two wickets. Amir Siddique remained unbeaten on 52*(28), Zeeshan scored 19 and Rafaqat scored 16 runs.
