Mangaluru: Milagres Career Expo wintesses great turnout of students

Mangaluru, May 5: 'Milagres Career Expo-2017', organised by Milagres College, on Thursday May 4, witnessed an overwhelming response from the students. Career Expo was organised to counsel students on the avenues they can choose from on completion of PUC.

Fr Michael Santhumayor, principal and administrator of the college, proposed the welcome speech and introduced all the teaching and non-teaching staff to the gathering.

The chief guest, professor Ronald Pinto, director of the Institute for Individual Development (IID) inaugurated the programme. PTA president Ronald Pinto wished the students excellence in their career through Milagres Career Expo. The vice principal Cassin Rodrigues proposed the vote of thanks.

Denzil Celestine D’Costa, HOD of Hotel Management and coordinator of Expo, headed the demonstration by first introducing the gathering to the definition of Hotel Management and the importance of the different uniforms in the course. He prepared different types of salads and presented them. He later introduced the Martiny Mangalore group to the guests who performed fire flaring in front of them. Games and entertainment were conducted by Eva Manorama, HOD of commerce.

Lecturers Lavita Pereira and Glanciya Fernandes presented a powerpoint on the courses and facilities available at the college.

Chief guest, professor Ronald Pinto headed the career guidance programme. He spoke on four aspects, what values a student should inculcate. He highlighted the importance of degree education in life and motivated students to join job oriented courses.
