Ballari, May 1: A woman has accused a doctor at the Vijayanagar Institute of Medical Sciences (VIMS) here of seeking sexual favours when she wanted him to treat her son for ear pain.

Dr Kattappa is the person whom the woman has blamed for seeking favours.

Dr Kattappa allegedly made the demand when the woman brought her son for the second time on Friday for treatment.

The doctor reportedly told the woman that quality treatment was not possible until she gave him some sexual favours. The woman also accused the doctor of misbehaving with her.

The woman pained by the demand, decided to lodge a complaint against the doctor at the women’s police station here on Saturday.

Sub-inspector of women’s police station Ramizabi informed that the doctor would be served a notice first since he is a government employee. She also said that further action will be taken after taking the consent of the higher authorities.
