Kundapur, Apr 29: “The case of assault and caste abuse against Koraga community at Movadi is far from truth. It is an attempt to sow the seed of hatred among communities at Movadi which live in communal harmony. The case of caste abuse against innocent youth is condemnable. Violent protests will be held if the case is not investigated and withdrawn,” said Movadi Koraga community leader Raghavendra Movadi.

Speaking in a news conference in Kundapur Press Club on Friday April 28, he said that the police had conducted raids after definite information of cattle slaughter. “Local Dalits and people belonging to other caste were present during the raids. Police had seized cow meat from the place. Three people were arrested in this connection. Bajrang Dal activists or pro Hindu organizations have not participated in the incident. There is nobody belonging to pro Hindu organization or Bajrang Dal in this part. We went there only after the arrival of police. We have suitable proof in this regard,” Raghavendra added.

"Nobody was assaulted at that time nor was the food snatched. Police raided the place at 1.30 am after midnight. It is far from truth that they were having meals then. Some organizations targeting Koraga community after police registered a small case and released the suspects after advice is a subject of anxiety. Some culprits in order to start social conflicts changed the case and made a case of atrocity registered against the innocent youth. There is proof that there was no caste abuse or assault there. How then the case of atrocity registered is not known,” he said.

“Attempts to spoil peace and social unity are in progress at Movadi. We have come to know that Dalit Sangharsha Samithi, Bheema Gharjane leaders and PFI organization leaders are persuading to register false case. Suitable action should be taken against such people,” he concluded.

Sathish Movadi, Prabhakar Movadi, Puneeth, Santhosh, Shankar, Kiran, Sripathi, Pravin, Nityananda and others were present.

The problem with dalits is their leaders like mayawati, athavale. Athavale who is also an ally of bjp do not even condemn these human rights. athavale is scared he will loose money and power if he protest why dalits don't ask their so called leaders wrt their keepibg mum on such inhuman incidents. This shows they are using dalits only for vote bank
