Mysuru, Apr 28: Police here finally solved a mystery of photos of girl students uploaded on a porn site. They have arrested a student from Mysuru University relating to this. It is said that he had admitted that he uploaded the photos to take revenge on the girls who happen to be his classmates.

Jayanth Kumar (24), a final year student of Environmental Science, is the person accused.

As per details, three girls from Mysuru University started receiving lewd calls from men who visited a particular adult website. On discovering the fact that their numbers were posted in a porn website, the girls brought the issue to the notice of the university Registrar first. Then they lodged a police complaint at Jayalakshmipuram police station.

The girls also told the Registrar that they suspected role of one of their lecturers with whom they had an argument over internal examination marks. They claimed, the lecturer had told them during the argument that he would go to any extent to teach them a lesson. Subsequently their lecturer Prof A G Deviprasad allegedly gave more marks to Jayanth in the internal exams than these three girls.

Saddened at getting fewer marks, the students later said that the professor did not evaluate the papers properly and gave more marks to Jayanth. They also brought this matter to the notice of the Registrar.

It is said that the girls also mocked at Jayanth as a follower of Deviprasad. Insulted by this, Jayanth uploaded their photos on a website with the phone numbers of girls. The particular porn website provided the phone numbers of female sex workers to men.

Jayanth who is now in police custody said that he did not like the girls calling him as henchman of the professor.

The police complaint now stands transferred to the cyber cell. A case has been registered under IPC section 509 and IT act 67(A).
