Jeddah: Indomie Champions Trophy - JSCL Season II launched

Jeddah, Apr 27: The Indomie Champions Trophy 2017 - JSCL Season II day/night softball tournament was launched at Red Sea Palace Hotel here.

The tournament will be played under the umbrella of United Cricket Forum and is sponsored by Indomie, powered by Virtuestream Media - MENA and Premier Developers and Contractors and co-sponsored by Al Khalijiyah, Ambience, Zam Zam Restaurant, Gourmet Sweets, Shadab Restaurant, Pepsi, 3 Horses Arcoma, Black + Decker, Junaid Custom Clearance, AAA Builders, Olayan, Air India & Strike.

The initial league stage will be followed by the playoffs and grand finale. The tournament will last four weeks. All the matches will be played day/night at BMT Grounds, opposite Al Waha Hotel, Bani Malik, Jeddah, KSA.

The scores of the softball tournament matches will be available live on chauka.in and all the matches will be streamed live on Facebook on Jeddah Super Cricket League 2017 page with live updates on all social networking sites and print media.

Officials from the JSCL organizing committee, sponsors, media, along with captains and managers of the ten participating teams attended the function where the teams were pooled.

Group A: Asia XI, Deccan Youth, GBest, Warriors
Group B: Jeddah Gladiators, Lothers, Pepsi Alliance, Junaid CC
Group C: Friday Stallions, Saudia Gladiators, Zahid Group, Funoon Harakat
Group D: Crazy Cric Jeddah, Young Star, Indomie Dragons, Arcoma

Muzammil Riyaz welcomed the sponsors and co-sponsors Renalda Siswadi (marketing director- Indomie-KSA), Marwan Al Ahmadi (CEO and chairman- Virtuestream- MENA), Kabir Rehman (deputy visa consul general of United Kingdom), Hamza Haddad (division manager- Crown), Dr Z K Raychouni (group corporate consultant, Zahid Group), Ali (owner- Zam Zam Restaurant), Mohammad Essa (owner- Shadab Hotel)and Imran (regional manager- Air India).

The ceremony commenced with the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an by Naseem. Muzammil Riyaz briefed everyone about Jeddah Super Cricket League Season II and also gave a presentation on United Cricket Forum and all the tournaments the forum has organized so far in Jeddah. The JSCL coordination committee comprises of Jaweed Ahmed, Sami Khan, Ahmad Abdul Rahman, Muzammil Riyaz, Rafiullah, Anwar Khan, Syed Afzal Syed Shariefuddin, Ayazuddin Irfan, Wasi Rabbani, Mujtaba Quraishi, Samar and Irfan Dayyani and Mohammed Affan.

Renalda Siswadi in his speech congratulated all the participating teams and applauded the JSCL organizing committee for their efforts in organizing this tournament and wished them all the best for the success of Indomie Champions Trophy 2017.

Marwan Al Ahmadi appreciated the efforts of JSCL organizing committee and extended full support in the upcoming events of United Cricket Forum.

Dr Z K Raychouni in his speech motivated all the participating teams in the tournament with his inspirational speech and also applauded the efforts of the organizing committee to conduct a tournament on such a large scale.

The JSCL organizing committee urged the teams to abide by the rules and regulations for the smooth conducting of the tournament.

The JSCL committee will provide colored T-shirts, trousers and caps to all the 16 teams, umpires, scorers and volunteers.

Renalda Siswadi and Marwan Al Ahmadi along with the other co-sponsors unveiled the winner and runner-up trophies and wished luck to all the teams.
