Vijayapura: 3 die as MUV overturns


Vijayapura, Apr 27 (DHNS): Three persons were killed on the spot and four others sustained serious injuries when an MUV overturned as its driver lost control over the vehicle on NH 218 on Wednesday.

Police said driver Abdul (36), Mahananda alias Mahadevi Nagesh Kerur (36) and Manik Sahukar Kasar (50) are the deceased. Ramesh Yankanchi of Banahatti, Pramod Pavate, Ashok Manewadi and Umesh Rathod, who have sustained serious injuries, have been admitted to the government hospital in Vijayapura.

The accident occurred when 11 persons, including the driver, were on their way to Khalipath Dargah in Malkhed village in Sedam taluk of Kalaburagi district from Banahatti in Bagalkot district, Devara Hipparagi police said.

    Like to know which make is this vehicle..The top frame of the vehicles of international standards are able to take the weight of their own engine with passengers load to an certain extent when turned upside down but this one has just flattened out like cardboard.
