Bengaluru: Veteran BJP leader Vimala Gowda passes away at 63

Bengaluru, Apr 18: Senior BJP leader and sitting member of Karnataka legislative council, K S Vimala Gowda, breathed her last on Monday April 17.

Vimala Gowda was 63.


She has left behind husband Lakkanna Gowda, two sons, and grandchildren.

Vimala, who was suffering from acute complications related to her heart and breathing problems since early this year, was being treated at Narayana Hrudayalaya. She was in the intensive care unit of the hospital since the last some days. Her end came at around 7.27 pm on Monday.

The family of Vimala Gowda said that they are waiting for the arrival of some relatives from abroad. Therefore, her mortal remains would be brought to her home on Wednesday morning, and her body will be cremated at 3 pm on that day at the Wilson Garden crematorium.
