Mangaluru: Sandeep Wagle to receive PaGo award on Apr 15

Mangaluru, Apr 13: The Padhyana Gopalakrishna(PaGo) Bhat award will be conferred on Sandeep Wagle, reporter of the newspaper Kannada Prabha at the award ceremony at Patrika Bhavan on April 15 at 11 am. Wagle was sected for the award for rural reporting.

B Samivulla, chief news reporter of Udaya TV will present the award. Dakshina Kannada district working journalists association president Jagannath Shetty Bala will preside over the programme.

The award is being presented for Wagle's report 'Nadige Bandu Soragida Koragaru' published in Kannada Prabha daily on July 26, 2016.

Earlier, Dakshina Kannada district working journalist's association secretary Srinivasa Nayak Indaje in a news release said, “The award consists of Rs 10,001/ cash, a certificate and a memento."
