Mumbai, Apr 11: Local corporator and Maharashtra state PWD minister Eknath Shindhe and Thane TMC mayor Meenakshi Poojary and Rajendera Shindhe couple were honored publicly under the aegis of Tulu and Kannada organizations in Thane on Saturday April 8.

The programme was chaired by Tulu Kannada Abhimani Balaga president Mahesh Karkera. Businessman Laxman Maniyani lit the customary lamp and inaugurated the programme. Ganesh R Poojary, Thane arrived as chief guest.

At the programme led by Kannada Abhimani Balaga convener Sridhar Uchil, Balaga secretary Sunil J Shetty welcomed the gathering and delivered the keynote address. Joint secretary Nithyananda Shetty Beluvayi and Raghuveer Hegde introduced the guests and compered the programme. Office bearers presented mementos and flower bouquets to the guests. Sunil J Shetty proposed the vote of thanks.
