Mangaluru: Hindu Mahasabha lashes out at BJP, Cong; to field candidates in Assembly polls

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SB)

Mangaluru, Apr 8: N Subrahmanya Raju, state president of Akhila Bharat Hindu Mahasabha on Saturday, April 8 launched a scathing attack on the central BJP-led leadership on the issue of Kashmir and also said that an out-of-court settlement on Ayodhya issue was not possible. He also attacked the Congress state government on corruption and said that the Mahasabha would field its candidates in the next state Assembly elections.

Addressing a press meet here, Raju said, "We were hoping for peace and rehabilitation of Kashmiri pandits through the alliance of BJP-PDP government in Jammu and Kashmir. But now it is clear that the BJP formed the government with its ideological enemy PDP as it was hungry for power. The coalition government has done nothing for the development of Kashmir. They have failed to restrict Pakistan-sponsored attacks in various parts of the state and also failed to protect the lives of army personnel. Violence has increased. So if BJP has any concern for the welfare of the people there, it should leave the coalition immediately."

On the Ayodhya issue, he said, "We strongly oppose the use of Ayodhya dispute for political gain. We were the first petitioners for Ayodhya temple in court. The court has now suggested an out-of-court settlement on the issue. This is not possible. We have already formed a committee including the leaders of all major Hindu organizations in India and with their cooperation, we will build the temple," he said.

Slamming the state government, he said, "The Congress government in the state has failed. Corruption is the only major achievement of this government. BJP in the opposition is silent as it was involved in corruption during its tenure. So we have decided to contest the upcoming assembly and corporation elections. We will present good candidates for the next elections.

"The coastal belt of Karnataka is controlled by underworld and various mafia. There is heavy smuggling of cows from Mangaluru to Kerala. Sand mafia is on the rise in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts. The government has failed to provide protection to its officials from attacks. The recent attack on lady officers in Udupi shows that there is no place for sincere government employees in the state," he stated.

"Ban PFI"

Commenting on the protests held by Popular Front of India (PFI) a few days back, he said, "Organisations like PFI are a threat to the society. The way they took law into their hands and interrupted police officials doing their duty, shows that they are against the law of the land. The government should ban these type of organisations."

Akhila Bharat Hindu Mahasabha secretary Rajesh Pavithran, leaders Naveen, Dharmendra and Roy Suvarna were present.

It is only a bargain game threatening BJP to cut the vote bank fielding their own candidates. As soon as blank cheque with undisclosed amount is debited their account they will again on the streets to continue hooliganism in the name of religion.

I don't understand why only 'Mangalore press club' become the venue for all fanatic organisation to deliver their message?

And what qualifies you to pass this judgement. Every single person is always nice to his friends. True color comes out when they take refuge behind the anonymity that organization like PFI provides. By the way, even terrorists don't blow up their friends, they are nice to them.

Show me one protest organized by PFI which has not ended in violence.

    Happy Secularism!

It is not that parties are wrong or corrupt...
Legal and judicial systems need a helping hand...
Men like Gaikwad walking scot free will not go away from young voters' minds...
If governance is independent from politics we will have better behaviour among politicians...
They are never heroes... They are public servants... If they think they are not way out must be shown...

HMS gone here and there in this article and their main/final subject was PFI!!!!!If PFI should be banned why not BD and other militant group of Sanghis. Ayodhya issue used as milking for BJP then why it should be settled?Whenever election comes BJP rakes it....IN CENTRE and U P there are ample support to promulgate AYODHYA as RAM JANMABHOOMI and a grand temple would be coming up .Good if it contest next coming general Assembly election and it only ending with TAVANI NASTA!

BD members never assaulted a police on Duty , that too at night wearing masks as retaliation like the PFI goons.

Secondly, their supporters never questioned pr justified this attack later, " what was the police doing at night, was he on night beat( it doesent matter )

So u don't think its right on your part to compare BD with militant groups like P.., S..., K....D etc.

Udupi police and Mangalore police will very soon teach this Shaaka lessons to PFI goons of Kandlur and Katipalla. It will surely be very bitter pill to swallow to the followers and supporters of anti-state groups. Hope there wont be any "Peace protest" for police action against these goons who assaulted DC & the Police force.

Vikas.. Its not right to compare PFI to bds and other chaddis group.. cos PFI do not throw stones to temples and churches as your chelas do! PFI do not hoist Pakistan flag like what your chelas did.. As you said we cannot compare PFI to bd cos PFI do not burn shops and vehicles like what your chelas do.. PFI leaders or members do not comment burning Mangalore like what your chela MP did..
At last you are correct never compare PFI to bd chelas who disturb peace in Mangalore.!
