His every song narrates a different story, a story related to every moment of life in this world. Every song gives a message. You can find a song for any occasion from his vast treasure. His songs composed decades ago are also still relevant.

This Sunday evening of April 2, will open in reality his biography ‘Geet Jalem Jivit’, to his fans through the participation of around sixty young and old artistes. For those who have seen Wilfy closely, this evening will surely refresh their memories. Those who have not seen him personally will get to know him personally.

Just like he has a song for every occasion in general, he has songs for all that has occurred in his life. His story will include his birth, his youth, his initial days in the music and literary field, his love life, his family life, his initial days of struggle, his answer to his critics, his growth in the music world, the power in his songs, his mission, his message to the world, his weakness, his strength and finally his death and aftermath.

Wilfy’s family, along with United Youngsters has put up this inimitable evening with his songs which will narrate his real life story. Some of the songs one may not have heard before, some of the songs may be the ones many have been waiting to listen.

The programme will begin sharp at 5.30 pm at Town Hall in city and Wilfy’s family has requested all his fans to be present in the hall by 5.15 pm.

We are glad that some community gathering has been organized on April 2, 2017 in commemoration of late Wilfy Rebimbos's 75th Birthday. This is one way to motivate his family and also the United Youngsters team who have worked together for so many years in the past to make so many good things possible and enrich Wilfy's talents in singing, and especially his creative abilities in the lyrics and the themes that he created.

It's a fascinating feeling to admire Wilfy's contribution towards Konkany songs and musical extravaganza that electrified the Community of Mangalore and rendered a new chapter of awakening for the society. So many other yoiung talents blossomed in and around Mangalore because of Wilfy's selfless initiatives. So many other Konkany performers created their own programs in music as well as theatrics, and also paved way for many Catholic Parishes to appeaer in the headlines of Konkany singing, dancing and even movies. We have before us many promising stalwarts such as Eric and Joyce Osario, Melwyn Peris, Kevin Misquith and a few more handful of Konkany talents but the talents that were displayed by Wilfy Rebimbus with the help of his wife Meena is simply too good to narrate.

Let Wilfy's legacy of Musical talents continue to prevail in our society. Wilfy was a small man with a talent that was too good for our Community but his life ended soon leaving behind lots of vacuum gaps that are hard to replace. This is a sad fact, but life must continue to move along and we all have a responsibility to share and make sure that our Konkany society will continue to remain vibrant and active.
