Mangaluru: Conference of Catholic Sabha office bearers held

Mangaluru, March 28: A conference of the office bearers of Catholic Sabha for the year 2017-18 was held in Bajjodi Shanti Kiran auditorium on Saturday, March 25. Member of Rajya Sabha and founder president of Catholic Sabha Mangaluru, Oscar Fernandes inaugurated the conference.

“Catholic Sabha was started in 1980 to unite and face difficulties and problems of our community. Through the message of Jesus, we know, to help the most downtrodden brother and sister is help extended to Him. May the work of wiping the tears of our brothers and sisters in distress materialize through this organization. Catholic Sabha Mangaluru zone former spiritual director Fr Vincent Monteiro stressed the need to strengthen and mould the youth to respond to problems being faced by the community, and campaign for solutions. He wished the organization the best.

Catholic Sabha zonal president Anil Lobo, Blossom Fernandes, chief secretary Walter Monis, programme convener Jerald D'Costa, co convener Godwin Pinto Bejai, designated president Melwin D'Costa and vice president David D'Souza were present.

Jerald D'Costa cordially welcomed the gathering. Secretary Walter Monis proposed the vote of thanks. Anil Patrao compered the programme.
