Mangaluru: Rotary holds multi-zonal club leaders training seminar

Mangaluru, Mar 27: "The leaders of Rotary Club should be trendsetters. We have to change our 'service style'. People are expecting more from us and we have to reach out to them with a variety of programmes," said Rotarian PHF M M Suresh Changappa, at his inaugural speech in a multi-zonal leaders training seminar held at Canara Boys High School, Dongerkery on Sunday March 26.

He further added, "There are no shortcuts when it comes to service. We plan on holding various programmes and a wide variety of them. It is also a good opportunity for you to display leadership qualities through the organisation. These type of seminars will help you share your ideas with each other and have a holistic learning experience. This oganisation always approaches issues through collective effort. I am assured you are all here as a whole, with lots of ideas and a true spirit of service."

Rotarian PHF Bhaskar S and rotarian PHF P Rohinath were present as chief guests. "Rotarians are already leaders in their own field. They are also passionate about service to society. Rotary offers community service all over the world. That is why it is a unique organisation. Its members collectively povide positive service to society," said Rotarian Bhaskar S.

Rotarian Jossy Pinto, Rotarian Rajendra Kalbavi were present on the dais.

The training session started with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. Rotarian Rajendra Rao welcomed the guests and delegates. Rotarian Naveen Kumar introduced the guests. Rajmohan Rao compered the programme.
