Kundapur, Mar 27: An auto rickshaw and a tempo which were moving in opposite directions collided with each other at Devalkunda road curve near Hemmady in the taluk on Sunday March 26. In this incident, auto rickshaw driver, identified as Nitin Mogaveera (23), resident of Nempu Padur in Kenchanur village, succumbed to serious injuries.

After he suffered critical injuries in the accident, Nitin was taken to the hospital but his life could not be saved.

It is said that the tempo that was moving towards Vandse from Hemmady moved to extreme right side of the road perilously when negotiating the said curve, allegedly after the driver lost control over the vehicle.
