'New India' not political, but dream of all Indians: PM in Mann Ki Baat

New Delhi, Mar 26 (Agencies) : Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared his thoughts on a number of themes and issues in the 30th edition of his radio address programme 'Mann Ki Baat' today.

Highlights:

Prime Minister Modi greeted Bangladesh on its 45th Independence Day.

Speaking of the death penalty given to freedom fighters Bhagat Singh and Rajguru, who were executed on March 23, 1931, Modi said they were not scared of death but lived and died for the nation.

Modi said India marks 100 years of Mahatma Gandhi's Champaran Satyagraha today. This was one of the first Gandhian movements in the country, Modi said.

"The Champaran Satyagraha showed us how special Mahatma Gandhi was and how unique his personality was. Gandhi taught not through words but through action on how to take on the powers that be," the PM said.

"'New India' is not a political manifesto or a programme. It is the unified call and dream of 125 crore Indians," Modi stated speaking about the controversial message he sent out a day after the BJP’s UP poll win.

"New India manifests the strength and skills of 125 crore Indians, who will create a 'Bhavya and Divya Bharat'", Modi said.

Modi urged citizens to join the ‘New India’ movement and resolve to become more responsible. “If 125 crore indian resolve to transform India, then we can realise the dream,” he said.

On black money, the PM said that people had rejected it along with corruption, and embraced digital transactions. The PM claimed that 1.5 crore Indians had now embraced digitisation.
The Prime Minister pitched for combating the problem of depression among youth. "Depression can be overcome. We all can play a role in helping those suffering from depression overcome it," Modi said. Modi pointed out that it was always good to share your feelings with others if you were depressed.

On food wastage in the country, Modi said he knows of several youngsters who are using technology to prevent such wastage.

Modi appealed to the people to suggest ways to promote yoga, in view of the 3rd International Yoga Day coming up on June 21.

The programme is simulcast on the All India Radio (AIR) and Doordarshan.'

Mann Ki Baat' was broadcast in regional languages immediately after its Hindi broadcast.

This was Modi's first address to the nation after the BJP's historic win in Uttar Pradesh Assembly polls.

Prime Minister Modi, in his 29th edition of Mann Ki Baat, touched upon a range of issues ranging from India's historic launch of a record 104 satellites on a single rocket to the Indian team's incredible victory in the Blind T20 Cricket World Cup.

This BJP has no innovative ideas nor any mechanism to impliment a people-friendly plan. All its ministers and cabinet members are uneducated and with highest criminal records only fit for corruption and self-serving. No wonder from the beginning they have been promising and promising and just getting the people carried away by thier heavy words and dialogues. Just talking and just hollow talking and no work till eternity. Only blind and idiot Bhakts are thrilled with words who don't believe in visible work.

As whole nation was kept busy in meat, beef ban and romeo brigade a new financial bill secretly passed as money bill without the Rajya Sabha mandate(BJP is still short of majority) amendments favouring his own political party.

Under the new financial bill any company can make donations without disclosing the end beneficiary. It was earlier capped at 7.5% of the profit accumulated in three years. Apart from this Rs20000 of individual contributors to the party earlier mandatory to disclose the name is no longer required, as RBI will be issue secret bond which beneficiaries identity as well the contributors name will remain anonymous.

PM Modi who has promised the nation in 2014 Lok Sabha elections to eradicate the corruption in political system is now making easy for his corporate elite and his own ruling party by giving free hand for corruption in the heart of democracy. In the earlier ruling which center introduced, no central government employees is allowed to be investigated for corruption by CBI or ED unless center gives permission. Now CBI which was earlier as per BJP caged parrot is allowed to die without food.

This financial bill also killed the right of citizen by keeping the political parties away from 'Right to Information Act'. Both Congress and BJP had mutual understanding and withdrew the cases in court on Foreign funding to the parties.

The government machinery is their firm hand and opposition none exist, majority in both houses has given them full power to make corruption know legal.

As 2019 Lok Sabha election is fast approaching Ram Mandir became contentious issue for the party rather than 'development. In the mele of confusion and controversies BJP has made all arrangements to retain its center of power by illegitimate means by openly murdering the democracy.

Instead of removing corruption from political system, BJP PM Modi government know legalised the corruption.

Tired of those shallow & hollow speeches.

Economy is down, Industrial, agricultural output is down, job creation is at an all-time low, farmers suicides are on the rise, corruption and crime has sharply risen.

I hope Indians will wake up and start seeing the truth. Do blindly watch news being shown by our "Bikhau Media".

Modi doesn't need UK people support. But he needs money from NRI's. He went begging around the whole world and fooling the already fooled indian people by creating all useless new taxes and laws. After he filled his stomach he started all his nautanki. People living in India deserve to listen to monkey baat and do like monkeys. People will never understand and never change and will still complain despite continuing voting for this chaiwaala.

Very nicely told man ki baat by snatching food of thousands of innocents by closing their livelihood which they were running since many years. Sudden closing of licenced and non-licensed meat shops inluding chicken stall in UP by CM Negi is illogic and unconstitutional. The shop owners should have been served of Notice and given a time limit of at least 30 days to arrange alternate ways of income. No one will be spared by God if any poor curses due to his starvation and we will see the effect soon. Dont stab people on their stomachs. Dont act unwisely to appease your leaders or any organisation. Take blessings of poors and not their curse. There is no hiding between God and plead of a poor. Power will not remain permanently. Do someting good so that you will be remembered even after your death. Live like Satya Harshchandra, Ashoka, Khalifa Harood Rasheed etc. Everthing is being watched by God and none can escape from Him. There is a limit for everything.

Dear Rathan, please dont close your eyes + ears and say something. Almost all the meat shops including with licence are forcibly closed in UP. Meat traders with valid licence pleaded with authorities that they have valid license but authorities did not agree to it sayi8ng licenses were issued as appeasing towards Muslims. Current bjp govt of UP is considering all Govt benefits for Muslims as appeasement by previous Govt and stopping it one by one thereby expressing its grattitudes for casting their votes in favor of bjp.
