IPS officer who tweeted against Adityanath govt suspended

Lucknow, Mar 25 (Zee News): Himanshu Kumar, an IPS officer of the Uttar Pradesh cadre, was on Saturday suspended, days after he alleged that seniors are targeting subordinates of particular caste.

Himanshu was suspended for "indiscipline".

The Uttar Pradesh Police had earlier launched an investigation into the allegations made by the 2010-batch IPS officer in a series of tweets.

Meanwhile, Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav raised questions on the suspension of Himanshu Kumar.

"Only policemen of one particular caste are being suspended or transferred. Everybody knows. But will you report that?" Akhilesh asked.

After being suspended, Kumar tweeted: “Truth alone triumphs.”

Earlier, Himanshu had said in the tweet that those police officers with the 'Yadav' surname were being targeted.

Himanshu, who was recently transferred to the DGP HQ in Lucknow by the Election Commission, later deleted his tweet.

The IPS officer was earlier posted as the Superintendent of Police in Mainpuri and Firozabad.

In 2014 41 senior IPS officers were shifted BJP alleged that in a bid to hide its failures, the Akhilesh Yadav-led SP government was shuffling officers like a "pack of cards".

Then BJP spokesman Vijay Bahadur Pathak said that frequent transfer was denting the morale of the bureaucracy as well as police force.

"Even before an officer could settle in a district during field posting and understand the ground situation he is shunted to some other place. This is the situation with top bureaucracy as well," he alleged.

"Instead of going for a superficial makeover by transferring the officers, the government must take some concrete steps to improve the situation in the state," he said.

Where is the ethics which they are preaching Samajwadi party is not applicable to BJP?The frequent transfer was denting the morale of the bureaucracy as well as police force. How is the situation of UP law and order will improve if the officers keep shifting?

PEOPLE TRUSTED MODI AND VOTED FOR BJP IN UP. MODI FOOLED AND CHEATED ALL UP PEOPLE.

THEY WILL TEACH HIM A LESSON IN 2019.

And Chief minister of the state also should be away from the caste politics. He cannot target any particular community who have not voted for BJP.

Suppose they were indeed harassed what should they do? Just endure? Is that why one gets educated? To work as " yes men"?An impartial enquiry should be conducted & then judgements given.Till then loose talk can wait without knowing both sides of a story.
