Kundapur: 23-year-old youth watering plantations falls into lake, dies

Kundapur, March 23: A resident of Bellal who had gone to water house plantations at Bellal in Keradi gram panchayat limits, Kundapur on Wednesday night, March 22 fell into a lake and died.

Sachin Shetty (23), son of Shekar Shetty was employed as a temporary worker in the forest department and had come home. He had gone to water plants at about 7.30 pm. As he did not return even after one hour, people from his house went looking out for him and found one of his sandal on the bank of the lake. They later found his dead body in the lake.

A police case is registered at Kollooru police station.
