Bengaluru: Former CM S M Krishna to join BJP on Wednesday in presence of Amit Shah

Bengaluru, Mar 21 (PTI): Former Karnataka chief minister SM Krishna will join the BJP tomorrow in Delhi, around seven weeks after he quit the Congress. "According to the information we have, SM Krishna will be joining the BJP tomorrow in Delhi," party sources said here.

Krishna would be inducted into the saffron party in the presence of its national president Amit Shah and other leaders, including Ananth Kumar and R Ashok from Karnataka, they added. Krishna was scheduled to join the BJP on March 15, but had to postpone it due to the death of his sister.

Krishna (84) had announced his resignation from the Congress on January 29, saying the party was in a "state of confusion" on whether it needed mass leaders or not.

Krishna, who was the Karnataka Chief Minister from 1999 to 2004, had returned to state politics after stepping down as then External Affairs Minister in 2012. He has also served as the Governor of Maharashtra.

S.M.Krishna has lost respect and honour he gained in the Congress Party. Now he will be one among L.K.Advani and Murali Manohar Joshi. Thats all. As per PM Modi's rule there is no scope for the leaders who complete 75 years. So what about S.M.Krishna? Wiil he be made vice-president? I dont think.

Mr. S M Krishna should have taken a gracefull retirement instead spoiling his name. When Sr. leaders like Advani , Joshi are sidelined where mr. Krishna will stand. He will be cornered once they use him. Moreover what post is he expecting at this age?

People of karnataka ousted him out of power after the way he handled the infamous kidnapping of rajkumar by veerappan.where ransom for release was paid from the taxpayers money?...
He enjoyed all the possible posts under Congress...now instead of going away gracefully he has lost all respect ..then what about the ideologies with which he fooled people to win elections?people of karnataka only have to decide.

All those scams BJP and its troll army used to blame day in and out for Congress with suffix 'G' know being welcomed with open arm in the party.

While in the process of making 'Congress mukth bharath' BJP know lost its own identity. All the 'G' which they used to tag are know proved to be Grandpa for BJP old age home.

It has certainly proved that other Modi and Amit Shah BJP has no able candidates to run the national politics. It does need 70 years experience of Congress leadership. With the annotation of Yogi to be UP CM and RSS leaders in other states with no experience party is dearth of able leadership.

Operation Kamala is the only hope with communal development is the only alternate for the party.

As per Mr. Modi's rules, no one will get any position as a Minister or party president/CM/State President/State Minister post/ Governor position or any responsible post. Mr. Krishna is 84 so what good he is going to get at this age? What good is he going to do BJP? [May be some votes].

One thing I always admire of God, he did not allow any political parties in Heaven, if he did it could be unimaginable.

Anyhow hope he does better after joining BJP!!! GOOD LUCK!!!!

Again he came back to politics saying he is feeling boring in Governor post,
Again he will resign BJP if he will not get President or Vice President post of India.
Finally he will be like another Advani & Jetmalani in BJP.
