Udupi: Pillion rider falls down, loses life near Brahmavar

Udupi, Mar 20: A pillion rider who fell off the motor bike on which he was travelling, lost his life on Sunday March 19. The deceased has been identified as Sanjeeva Naik (65), a local.

Sanjeeva was travelling as pillion rider on a motor bike driven by Vittal Marakala. The motor bike was moving towards Brahmavar from Hebri when the rider suddenly applied brakes at Cherkady. The pillion rider, who did not expect this, fell onto the road, it is said. Sanjeeva suffered grave injuries, and the locals rushed him to a private hospital at Brahmavar, but he breathed his last sometime later at the hospital.

A case stands registered about this accident at Brahmavar police station.
