Kasargod, Mar 19: A little girl lost her life while playing on a makeshift swing at Pavoor near Manjeshwar here on Sunday March 19.

The deceased has been identified as Ashwita (10), daughter of Harish, a resident of Pavoor.

Ashwita was a 5th standard student of Udyavargudde government school.

It is said that Ashwita had created a swing out of a saree by tying it to a tree near her house. While swinging on it, the knot tightened around her neck, strangling her.

The family, on noticing her struggling for breath, rushed to her rescue and took her to a hospital in Mangaluru, but she could not be saved.

Very very sad.Heartfelt sympathys to her Family. This Shows how important it is to know to give first aid ,help on the spot ,before you take the Person to Hospital. As she was struggling to breath means she was at that time still alive. At that time soon after takingout, someone should have given her mouth to mouth breathing ,so that her brain could get Oxygen.lLater they could have taken to doctor or a doctor could come to their house and help her.In India we Need really in villages someone to give some medical assistance in case of immediate help. Many lives are lost due to negligence ,or not ignorance.India has to improve a lot.May her Soul rest in peace.
