Mysuru: Over 20 BJP legislators to join Congress soon - Parameshwara

Daijiworld Media Network - Mysuru (RJP)

Mysuru, Mar 19: "Many important developments are going to take place in state politics in the next 6 months. Over 20 BJP legislators will join Congress during this time," said a confident state Congress president Dr G Parameshwara.

Dr Parameshwara was speaking to reporters at the residence of Geetha Mahadevappa, the Congress candidate from Nanjangud constituency where by-election is to be held soon.

"These (BJP) legislators are willing to join our party. Their names will be made public soon after the Gundlupet and Nanjangud by-elections are over," Parameshwara added.

On Yeddyurappa

"There was a time when people who came out from jail, would hesitate to meet people because of shame. But this man Yeddyurappa, who spent several months in jail, is touring the entire state and talking about corruption. It is a shameless thing to do," Parameshwara said.

Later he went to Gundlupet and asked the party workers to work hard to make Congress victorious.
"Bring the voters to the polling stations. Make sure we get 50 more votes than last time in every booth and we will win. Do this, as BJP is giving us tough fight here," he told them.

He also told the party workers that Congress is serious about the by-election strategy and it will be implemented as per plan.

Kalale Keshavamurthy is contesting as Congress candidate from Gundlupet.

India need a big political reforms. This cross party activity for the political greed is against the verdict of the people's mandate need to be completely stopped.

    I propose the Election commison and Association of Democratic rights following points;

    1. No elected member is allowed to cross the party once elected within the complete tenure of the government. The rule should be equally applicable to independent candidates.
    2. No candidate with past record of terror activity, militancy, creating communal disharmony, sexual abuse, murder should be allowed to contest and his application should be considered null and void.
3.No immediate family members of the criminal candidate is allowed to contest an election which can affect the criminal proceedings due to political interference.
4.If mandate falls short of numbers, then winning candidates from their respective constituency should be made incharge reporting to the Governor one monthly basis, verified by the independent retd. judges of Supreme court .This will avoid additional expenditure due to reelections.
5.No candidate is allowed to contest an election from two constituency at the same time. Since there are no provision to hold both seats reelection is merely waste of expenditure.
6.All the candidates contesting an election should compulsorily uploaded their legal documents of qualification, assets details, criminal records in local media and upload it in Election commison portal for free access for all voters. All the documents should verified and attested in order to avoid malpractices.
7.All nationalized and regional party should give equal representation in ticket distribution and it should be according to the Supreme court mentioned quota system. This will end casteism and religious subjugation.
8.If candidate found in criminal intimidation in the tenure against the interest of state, constitution should be terminated.
9.All the party funding should be brought under Foreign funding regulation and taxed.

It is unfortunate that we have rogues in politics. Todays BJP guys are tomorrows Congresswallahas and vice versa. There is no ideological commitment. People are switching from one party to another like changing clothes. This needs to stop and that will depend on all the citizens. We need to have a law that people belonging to one party cannot join another for ten years at least. That would offer us a better politics

Whilst, do not trust any political ideology completely or party, its true that whole country is drenched in modimania as of now and he will be unchecked in many more near elections to come, unless something drastically change. Therefore floor-crossing from green meadow to barren land looks not a reality. Anyway all the best.

Every time BJP leaders have this horse trading, I think only BJP can afford to form a government when they win less seats than congress and still form a government. This is the most prestigious achievement of the MODI government ever since the government is formed at Centre.

They can play the same in Karnataka by trading the JDS and Independent MLA’s of Karnataka even if they win less seats than Congress.

Somewhere somewhat people made some noise on EVM but it’s like June rain Bubbles. They washed away in few days. Now nobody talking about EVM frauds even though UK experts proved that Indian EVM is not safe.
