At first, police should check if the mosque had hired Sagar for any work and paid less or not paid at all!
There are different reasons behind pelting stone at religious place as we know from earlier examples!

Have you heard of an adage that the dog's tail does not get straightened despite restraining it to a tube no matter what length of time ?

It was a futile exercise explaining you that the wages were owed by the contractor, not the church/priest, or the divine representation of the statue that he broke.

Similar is my question that remains unanswered for centuries to come, what made the man angry at the divine personality, not the contractor or the priest himself.

Probably, he is more matured than us all. He thinks why blame the contractor or the priest when he can throw stones at the God himself, who is the wire-puller!

    Lydia,
    In mosques, no statues.
In temples, idols are locked tight inside Garbhagudi during nights!
Only in churches God is kept in open sometimes only covered by thin glass.

Lydia, hope you understand now, why any man angry with God chooses to show his anger on Gods in church!
(ps. All the above description is by assuming the stone pelter is a secular guy who believes God is one)

Looks like shanker and sagar are peas of the same pod. May be Glassmates & hence the sympathy towards sagar. It seems Pyala tera naam ka piya, Remember the song , Holi effect , Cannibias , ganja , Bhang MIlaavat. Keep on sympathising with people of this nature. Shanker , we are used to you bending over backwards & sympathising & empathising with these communal Fools

    Vantage Point, Mangalore.
Your point is very much true in & around Mangalore. The reason? Nobody knows... Chances are that the real miscreant has already escaped & a drug addict being fixed into this case! In addicted state, he is not aware of his whereabouts, so agrees, whatever told to him. Eventually, with the reason, he was an addict, will be released soon.

How come all those who pelt stones at places worship are (1) Drunkards/addicts but (2) are in proper sense to chose place of worship of other faiths, not their own ??

    Lydia,
You do not have any experience.
When you are high on ganja or alcohol, you reach safely to your home; But, however you try to recollect next day, you will not remember how you reached or which road you drove!

    Shankar,

I agree, on one mind the person may be reaching home but in reality he may be somewhere else - agreed. But, why the place of others' worship, not his own ? If he went to pray, he should have been to his own, not others ? That he went to others' place of worship, means that in conscious mind too he is begrudging others' faith ? Where is this coming from ?

Or, why not his in-laws' house than his own ? Not all men are comfortable in in-laws' house though many are. In-laws' house is a next place you normally consider next to your own home. So, why the drunkard/addicts do not end up in 'Sasuraal' than a temple/mosque/church ?

If he is sane, why will he pelt stones or try to destroy religious places?

Exactly, Anand, he should have gone and attacked (or, verbally abused) the person who got him into this habit or because of whom he is an addict/drunkard. Could be his wife, children, his parents, siblings, in-laws, whoever.

What has God (whether his or others') got to do with his present state ? Is God giving us inner strength, or driving us to bar/pubs ?
