Bengaluru: KSRP constable commits suicide out of depression

Bengaluru, Mar 16: Ajay Narasingh Jadhav (24), working as constable in Karnataka State Reserve Police (KSRP) force here, hanged himself on Tuesday March 14. It is learnt that he was going through a phase of depression.

The incident happened within the limits of Parappana Agrahara police station limits in the city. Ajay belonged to Basavana Bagewadi in Vijayapura district. He had joined duty as the constable of KSRP ninth battalion in 2014. Ajay was unmarried.

The constable in question was staying with three friends in the KSRP quarters in the city near Koodlu. On Tuesday morning, two of his colleagues had gone out to attend duty, while another was on leave.  Ajay was alone at home when he committed suicide. The incident came to light when one of the colleagues of the deceased came back after duty hours at around 8.30 pm on Tuesday.
