Mumbai, Mar 15: “A journalist is always the strength of human personality. However, in this era of WhasApp, Facebook and Internet, media faces difficulties while growing in between competition. Therefore it is challenging to make media grow,” said Dakshina Kannada MP Nalin Kumar Kateel.















He spoke after unveiling 'Nanu .. Nanna Swagatha', booklet on the autobiography of senior journalist, Karnataka Malla Daily editor Chandrashekar Palethady. The programme held at Radhabai T Bhandary auditorium on Monday afternoon, March 13 by Chandrashekar Palethady felicitation committee and Kannada department of Mumbai university was chaired by World Bunts Federation vice president and Palethady felicitation committee Mumbai president Aikala Harish Shetty.

Bunts Justice Board president Padmanabha S Payyade was the chief guest. M D Shetty was the guest of honour. Senior author Dr Sunitha M Shetty, businessmen Krishna Y Shetty, Raghurama K Shetty, Sathish Rama Nayak, Dr Surendra V Shetty, Raghu P Shetty, Sudhakar S Hegde, Suresh S Kanchan, N T Poojary, Gopala S Putran, Jayarama N Shetty, C A Shankera B Shetty, Adarsh B Shetty, Dr Shiva Moodugere, social workers Prakash B Bhandary, Ravi S Devadiga, Udaya Shetty Kantavara were present. Bhavani Foundation founder president Daddangadi Chelladka Kusumodhara D Shetty released Palethady's work 'Aptha Mithra'. Programme organizer Mumbai University Kannada department head Dr G N Upadhya spoke congratulating Palethady. Padmanabha Sasihitlu sang the title song. Chandrika Harish Shetty and Dr Poornima Shetty applied vermilion and took Arathi of Palethady couple.

Felicitation committee Vice president Nithayananda D Kotian welcomed. Suresh Shetty Shibarooru sang a prayer. Aikala Harish presented flower bouquets to guests. Ashok Pakkala compered the programme and proposed Vote of thanks. Artistes from various groups presented dances. A dance competition was held later. Asha Nambiar, Vidya Aiyar and Pavitra Bhat cooperated as judges.
