M'luru: P A College conducts International Women’s Day talk on 'be bold for change'

Mangaluru, Mar 10: Phoenix - The Gender Champions Forum of P A College of Engineering organized an invited talk on International Women’s Day campaign theme 'be bold for change' on Wednesday March 8.

Dr Thangam Varghese Joshua, professor and former HOD, department of surgery, KMC was the chief guest of the function. She highlighted the role and importance of women in the society with real life examples which added a great value to the session. The session created an awareness that merely being bold is foolishness. Rather they need to be wise and stand boldly for a good cause that could create a conducive change in the society. The talk guided young minds to take up challenges for the future.

Principal Dr Abdul Sharief, graced the occassion by his presence. Dr Sharmila, HOD, department of computer science, and professors from various other departments were present during the programme.

Dr Shailet Mathew, nodal teacher of the gender champions forum welcomed the gathering. Deeksha, student from the department of biotechnology proposed the vote of thanks. Sahadiya Nisha of eighth semester, department of biotechnology compèred the programme.
