Oman: RC wins ninth edition of HCC Winter Cup

Oman, Mar 9: RC Cricket team won the ninth edition of HCC Winter Cup 2017 Tournament organized by HCC, sponsored by Al Seeb Technical Est (SARCO), General Eng Services (GENSERV) Ramniklal B Kothary (RBK) and co-sponsored by National Mineral Water and Muscat Pharmacy.

A total of nine teams participated in the tournament. Royal Challengers, National Gas, AKCT, HCC, Azaiba Riders, Sialkot Stallions, LMA Signs, Coastal, Masters 11.

The final match was played between HCC and Rc. HCC won the toss and elected to bat first. HCC scored 49 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the 5 over match. In return, RC chased the target with 5 wickets in hand and won the finals. Shailesh of RC scored 34 runs in 11 balls and got elected as man of the match.

Pradeep Salian from HCC was the Man of the Series and won a Samsung 32" LED TV. Clinton of RC was the best batsman of the tournament and won the Samsung Galaxy Smart Phone. Shabaz from HCC was the best wicketkeeper of the tournament.


The prize distribution was held after the final match by Hafees Ahmed - sales manager of General Eng Services Oman. President of Holiday Cricket Club. Firozmohan welcomed the gathering and Parvindar Singh HCC manager proposed the vote of thanks.
