Ramanagara: Murder of girl for witchcraft - Police solve case, nab four including sorcerer

Daijiworld Media Network - Ramanagara (SP)

Ramanagara, Mar 6: The police of the district who investigated the death of Ayesha (10) from New Mosque Mohalla at Magadi in the district late night on March 1 have cracked the case within 48 hours of registration of the case. The mortal remains of the girl, who had gone missing since 9 pm on March 1, were found by the side of Hosahalli Road at Magadi town in the district on the evening of March 3.

The police have arrested four persons including a minor girl. The hands of the deceased girl were found tied in the back, plastic was found to have been stuffed into her mouth, and her corpse, placed inside a gunny bag, was recovered from a spot where it was tossed away by her killers. The police personnel have confirmed that the girl was sacrificed as part of witchcraft procedures.

Muhammed Wasil, owner of a bidi factory at Magadi, happens to be the prime accused in the case. Wasil's younger brother, Rafi, had been suffering from paralysis since sometime. Various systems of treatment in the state and outside had failed to heal his condition. Wasil thereafter sought help from his sister, Rasheeda, living at Goripalya Bengaluru. The brother-sister duo held consultation with each other, decided get Rafi discharged from hospital and treat him through sorcery.

Ayesha

Wasil, Naseema and Rasheeda

The sorcerer, Naseema from Bengaluru, said that Rafi had become sick due to the fact that someone had taken help of witchcraft to harm him. She said that he can be cured if the family agrees to conduct sorcery procedures for 40 days. She said that sacrifice of a girl would be necessary at the end for this healing process to be effective, and that Rafi will return to health as soon as the body of the girl is rotated in front of Rafi before being thrown away.

Wasil and Rasheeda believed her, chose Ayesha living nearby for the sacrifice, and sent her photo to Naseema through WhatsApp. After getting Naseema's nod, Rafi was brought to a spot where various grotesque procedures were performed in the presence of the girl's body. At the end of the procedures, the body was moved round Rafi before discarding it, police sources said.

In the meantime, the locals have urged for extermination of the entire family involved with witchcraft. Thousands of angry protesters who came together opposite the residence of the accused, broke the door open and pelted stones. Police resorted to light caning to disperse the angry mob, and the situation at Magadi continues to be tense.

Inspector general of police, Seemant Kumar Singh, said that the police believe that more people are involved with this crime along with the arrested persons, Wasil, Naseema, Rasheeds, and a minor girl. He said that more details of the case are being collected, and investigation is progressing satisfactorily.

Horrible, these uneducated ,stoneagedones are having a smartphone too?For what?Horrible act ,a small child of another family to offer? Why didnt they do of same family?Leaveout that minor girl,sh emust have did what adults told.but rest should really get the gallow punishment without mercy. Now is the sick person got healthy?what beliefs still exists, cant understand. Not black magic but their minds are black fully.when in the world all people did the same treatment for paralysis ,then no need of doctors, physiotherapists or hospitals.First they should change their diet, second smoking beedis/cigarettes should be avoided, and right phsyiotherapy is a must.Paralysis doesnt come from just from today of tomorrow.Healthy living should be practised. Not from witchkraft.

The fact cannot be denied that magic or black magic exists and it is one of the oldest human practices. It is one of the major condemned acts in Islam, and Islam under no circumstances allows a Muslim to opt for Black magic or any acts of sorcery associated with it.
Black Magic is prohibited in Islam
Right after the beginning of this world, there were those who believed in Allah Almighty and there were others who fells astray from the right path and moved on the path of Satan. It was the latter who resorted to Black magic as a means of getting things done instead of relying on Allah Almighty. The lines below discuss the major reasons why Islam condemns Black magic.
    1. An Act Of Satan:
    In Quran, Allah Almighty says:
“Suleman (Solomon) did not disbelieve, but the devils disbelieved teaching men magic.” (2:102)
From this ayah of Quran, it is clear that magic is one of the teachings of Satan. Those who disbelieve follow the path of Satan and these are the ones who rely on magic as a means to fulfilling their desires and make their wishes come true.
Regarding, the same matter, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said in His hadith:
“Whoever goes to a fortune teller (a soothe sayer) or a diviner and believes him, has, in fact, disbelieved in what has been revealed to Muhammad (PBUH).” (Dawud)
So hang these people in public

That day wil never come. Atleast not at the moment how things work. We can only question with the System and desire they are punished the same way. Do you think they woud be hanged? You know the answer. Worst case scenario would be these creatures would be behind bars without trial. Just enjoying prison with 3 meals. When the trial starts it would be years. Later minor would be let off saying Indian Law. Next one would be let off after spending 7 years in Jail saying out of good behavior. Lastly life imprisonment for the main accused. Even he would be let off by citing he has spent more than 12 years in Prison when the main Judgement arrives. What is life imprisonment then?
Too many cases pending. We can't blame the System since we ourselves needs to be blamed. Corruption has been like Termites eating the whole sytem.
We encourage corruption and elect such people. When an honest person tries to do something good, he is dragged down. This will go on and on.
Whole System needs to be cleansed. Sad to say but those days are very far from turning into a reality.

    Danish ,
You are right ! Where there is will, there is way, but current government is not willing to appoint more judges ! I do not know what is the intention behind delaying the appointment of judges.
Why don't people come on streets to INCREASE THE NUMBER OF COURTS, HIRE SUFFICIENT JUDGES, so that these pending cases are cleared fast.
The worst part, let some boy go and ask a demonstrator, why you are on street, his/her reply will be" I don't know, my leader told me to join the demonstration, and I am here".

This is relly the result of lack of education. Due to this an angel like child has been tortured and sacrified.
It is equally an eye opener for their parents to keep an eye on their children, where predators are on the
    prowl to snatch their kids.
No dobut, law will take its own course to punish the murderers.

Lack of education is one reason. But they even don't have basic human qualities. If some one is sick take the right steps. But these want easy going. That can't be excused. From were they got the education of performing such a heneous act??? These are not ready for the life's miseries which every person go through in life. Work hard, treat proper way. life is gained in hard ways. No easy going in life. Thank you and God bless each and every one of us.

Pathetic people and their pathetic belief. I wonder how come a Muslim who believes in oneness of God and who has Quran & Hadith with sea of information for any situation of life, can fall into such sorcery. Quran had strictly prohibited Black Magic & Sorcery, but yet these type of uneducated practice it, bringing in shame & laurel to its Religion.... Has not God provided these morons brain to think & understand to judge what is correct and what is false??? Really ashamed of these people.
Spreading Awareness & educating is very important.

Ahmed, when devil takes control of mind, whatever bad looks good and good looks bad. Devil waits for people who have weak faith in God. Reading holy books, praying and keeping clean body and mind will repel devils/satan. In this case, devil has already won and these people have become his slaves. A very tragic end. So sorry for the little angel. May her soul rest in peace.
