Jayant, who belongs to Madoor in Kotekar, works as building contractor. His current residence is in Kondana. Jayant had married Deepa in June 2015, and the couple has a 11-month-old daughter. Deepa has accused Jayant of indulging in violence since sometime on the pretext of demanding additional dowry and other issues.

On Saturday evening, Jayant came to Kolya and made a call to Deepa, who was alone at her parental home. As soon as she came out, he hit her black and blue with the helmet. The neighbours thereafter admitted Deepa to a hospital. The culprit should be arrested without bail and kept there for a long time. In case of discharge a bond should be otained from him holding his responsible for any harm to his wife.

@sri karkala, and men are not saints and wives are not there to hit black and blue.Men should realize that when they hit wives they are not heroes. They shoulsd respect them as their partner, not as slaves ,or animals.wife too can for a long time have patience but not too long .when it burstout ,she is sick her family will suffer.why should men hit his wife?Is she not a human?they have a child, why cant he understand?when he throws acid ,her face or body might suffer but not her wille. They should arrest such sick man.or he might make it true to others too.He doesnt realize his baby is suffering through their quarrel.Neighbours should have taught him a lesson during his hitting proceedure to wife.were only looking?otherwise people are thrashing where not needed and many times innocents. She should get police support so that he doesnt come and trouble her.

People are plain terrified of the successful careers of most women. They are of the opinion that only women are adamant which defies logic.
