Bengaluru: Techie breaks girl's marriage by misusing Facebook - lands in jail

Daijiworld Media Network - Beltangady (SP)

Bengaluru, Feb 26: A youth who sought recourse to the medium of Facebook to foil the marriage plans of a girl by befriending her would-be husband with a fake name on the social media, stands arrested. The youth who used Facebook to convey wrong information to the would-be-groom about the girl he was in love with, was trying to pressurize the lady into marry him.

Praveen, a software engineer working in Hebbal here, was in love with a colleague. Although the two were mere friends, the boy had a crush on the girl. When he proposed marriage to her, she said she is ready subject to approval of both the families. But both the families refused for this alliance because of caste differences, after which the girl told the youth that henceforth, they would be purely friends. Although Praveen requested the girl many times to marry him, the girl had not responded to his overture.

Recently, the girl's marriage was fixed with a software engineer working in USA. After the girl posted engagement photos in Facebook, Praveen created a fake Facebook account in the name of a girl. He sent friendship request to the would-be husband of the girl and used to chat with him often. He also used fake email ID to inform the youth that the girl he wanted to marry was involved with illicit relationship. The software engineer believed this story and broke the engagement.

The girl, who questioned her prospective husband for reasons to break the alliance and got to know his reasons, tried to find out the identity of the culprit but failed. However, when they met each other somewhere, Praveen boasted about his achievement of breaking her marriage. Thereafter, she filed complaint in Hebbal police station, although she was not sure about his involvement in this issue. The police personnel thereafter found out the IP address from which the email was sent, took Praveen into custody under IT act and questioned him. Praveen reportedly confessed to his unequivocal love for the girl, which he said, forced him to do wrongdoings to break her marriage.

Normally people who live in the USA care less about the past of their prospective partners. This guy must be from a village where people do things discretely. If you want a virgin, be a martyr and you will get 72 of them 70 years or older in the heaven.

Man loves the woman but he has no job. The woman leaves him. Woman wins.

Man loves the woman and he has good income. The woman insists on marying him. Woman wins.

Man does not love the woman anymore but he has good income. The woman insists on marying him. Woman wins.

Man's love for a woman is his own trap for himself. The man is a permanent loser.

My advice: wait for a woman to be 40 years of age before marrying her. The man wins.

Your comment is in very poor taste. At least show some respect and solidarity with the family of the victim in Kansas before trying to be funny.
