Udupi, Feb 25: Udupi unit of Welfare Party of India organised a public meeting near the Clock Tower, Udupi on Friday, February 24.
Member of the party, Abdul Azeez addressed at the public and said, "India comprises of 60% youth, and they are the power of our country. This strength is enough to fight against communalism. But the executive body has utterly failed to face social challenges. The Gujarat Administration Model is leading the nation. There is a need to weaken the corrupt politics and stronghold of capitalism," Azeez added.
Eminent writer and the district president of Komu Souharda Vedike, G Rajshekhar said, "There are no choices any further in a democracy like India. Ordinary people face problems due to the new economic policy. The present government is showing more interest towards heightening high-profile corporates like Adani and Ambani."
Rajshekhar further said, "BJP is following Marxist policy along with the violence therein. Police and the Bajaragis are acting like the right hand of government. 4000 innocent people died in Gujarat in 2002. There is a need to reply unanswered questions. We do not need a utopian democracy. There is a need to get people to understand the truth instead of living a fantasy world," said by Rajshekhar.
A bike rally was organised to champion the 'Yuva Jagruthi Desha Samruddhi' drive. It commenced from Gandhi Ground, Malpe and culminated near the service bus stand.
