Bengaluru: Bail application of question paper scandal kingpin dismissed

Bengaluru, Feb 23: The state high court dismissed the bail application moved by kingpin of second PU chemistry question paper leakage scandal Shivakumar on Wednesday, February 22.

The single judge bench of the high court presided over by Justice John Michael Cunha ordered for dismissal of the application, as it felt that it would not be possible to grant bail to him at this stage.

The police personnel of criminal investigation department, who had  investigated the case, had filed first information report against Shivakumar and 13 others under Karnataka Control of Organized Crimes Act - 2000. The bail applications moved earlier by five of the accused were dismissed by the single judge benches. The order passed by the bench also mentioned about these details.
