Yadagiri: Yet again, 'dead' man comes alive during funeral preparations

Daijiworld Media Network - Yadagiri (SP)

Yadagiri, Feb 23: In another miraculous incident of its kind, this time at Madalinganala village in Surpur taluk in the district, a man who was believed to have breathed his last, opened his eyes and sat up, even as preparations of his funeral were in full swing. The man who came alive from the deathbed happens to be Ningappa Basappa Somanal (54).

The incident comes close on the heels of another such case, wherein a 16-year-old boy in Dharwad woke up minutes before his funeral rites.

After Ningappa complained of severe chest pain on February 16, he was admitted into the hospital. The doctors had diagnosed his problem and suggested emergency surgery. Ningappa was kept in intensive care unit for two days after which the doctors said that his blood pressure is showing volatility and that his hear beat had become feeble. The doctors also predicted that he would die within two to three hours.

The staff of the hospital placed Ningappa, who was comatose, in the ambulance duly wrapping him in clothes, and took him to his village on February 19. The hospital staff said that he had died on way to the village. The body, which had turned cold by then, was kept in the hall of the house and people conveyed information about his death to relatives staying at various places. Preparations were being made for the final rites which were to take place the next day.

But during the early hours on February 20, Ningappa suddenly woke from his coma, and sat up, family members and villagers said. The incident came to light after three days, and it is learnt that he is showing positive signs of recovery.

A medical officer in the area felt that the concerned would have thought him dead as he was in coma. He said in some cases, the brain continues to be active even when the heart beat plummets. There are chances of the heart and brain picking up the pace of response when the persons concerned come back to life, and this incident falls in such categories, he added.

When a patient is not in a state to pay good or look more of landtype, many doctors or nurses dont take much interst towards them.let one VIPstep in you will see the difference. Now this man should celebrate his birthday twice a year. One more thing, mostly in hindu religion, they try to cremate within a few hours of their last breath,or doctor certifies.I think it should be avoided.wait till his body coolsdown complete, and body starts becoming steif.Anyway this fellow had really luck because he came home.

Most of the discussion here is too political, sub-intellectual and highly ignorant. Cases such as these happen frequently.

At times brain also goes numb due to trauma, shock, or any other unknown incident.

Our lives are in fakedocters hands. We hve to become extra cauti ous and take 2 opinions before going to a doctor. They are not at all concernedabout patients healthand only bothered how to extract money. This is not a miracle but only a casual and careless attitude to dispose the poor people from the face of the earth.

If the doctors are fake / no properly qualified then such miracles keep happening. It is good to wait for 2 days for final rites if doctors or someone declare a person dead. Some are fortunate enough that they woke up before cremation.

I don't understand whom to blame ? is it the poor medical facility which gets rid of poor background patients or is it the family, who are in a hurry to get rid of a human life to take over what ever he has or she has left behind. its a very sad situation. humanity and love for one and another is slowly dying. May God help him with full recovery and help him to live for mare years to come.
