Mysuru, Feb 22: A senior cop and his driver were killed in an accident in Kumbalgodu late evening on Wednesday February 22.

Ravikumar, superintendent of police (SP) Lokayukta, Mysore and his driver Kiran died the accident near Raja Rajeshwari Dental College under Kumbalgodu police limits.

They were travelling towards Mysuru in a Swift Dzire when a ten-wheeler truck collided head-on with the car.

The car was completely smashed in the accident.

Ravikumar had earlier served as ACP of Panambur station in Mangaluru and was known to be a good, people-friendly officer.

    We will miss him.He was a down to earth but upright police officer.came from a very small village near Tumkur.Rose up the ranks through sheer hardwork and merits. Our condolences from mangalore round table.
