Mumbai: Two works of poetess Anitha Poojary released

Mumbai, Feb 22: Two collections of poems written by well known young poetess Anitha P Poojary were released in Mysore Association mini hall, on Bhavudaji Road, Central Railways, Matunga east on Sunday evening, February 19. One of them was a collection of Kannada poems 'Antarangada Mradanga' and the other 'Mariyalada Madimal' collection of poems in Tulu.

The programme was chaired by senior author, scientist and editor of 'Gokula' monthly magazine, Dr Vyasarao Ninjooru. Omdas Kannangar, former honorary secretary of Karnataka Sangha Mumbai, author and journalist released the books. Padmanabha Poojary and Raksha Padmanabha Poojary were present on the dais.

Mumbai University Kannada department assistant professor Dr Poornima S Shetty introduced 'Antarangada Mridanga'. Akshaya mothly magazine editor Dr Ishwar Alevooru introduced 'Mariyalada Madimal'.

Jayalaxmi Devadiga sang poems by Anitha Poojary. Abhijith Publications felicitated writer and poetess Anitha Poojary. Several authors, poets, littérateurs, drama directors and artistes were present. Dr Mamatha Rao welcomed and introduced the guests.
